Prairie Blue Eyes Daylily




Plant Bio:
Prairie blue eyes is a midseason daylily that produces a profusion of large, 5.25” wide lavender flowers with nicely contrasting near blue eye zones and lime-green throats. Each flower typically lasts no more than 24 hours (thus common name ‘daylily’), opening up in the morning and withering during the forthcoming night, possibly replaced by another one on the same flower stalk the next day.
Watering Requirements
Regularly – weekly, or more often in extreme heat. At least 1” per week.
Feeding Requirements
Once a year with a balanced slow-release fertilizer. Apply in late spring after last frost
Pruning Time & Tips
Cut back in the early spring or late fall to 3” above soil
