Plant Bio:
Jiro persimmon is an outstanding deciduous fruit tree with highly ornamental qualities. fall foliage is a brilliant orange-red. Showy, bright orange-scarlet fruit ripens in late fall and remains on bare stems well into winter. Non-astringent, firm-fleshed fruit is best if given time to soften slightly after harvesting but will produce more fruit with a second tree nearby.
Watering Requirements
Regularly – weekly, or more often in extreme heat or in containers. At least 1” per week.
Feeding Requirements
Once a year with a balanced slow-release fertilizer. Apply in late spring after last frost.
