Winter flowers are followed by black ornamental berries.

Feeding Requirements

Once a year with a balanced slow-release fertilizer. Apply in late spring after the last frost.

Pruning Time & Tips

Prune off dead or damaged leaves in early spring.

Common Pests & Diseases

Aphids, Scale, Root Nematodes, Whitefly and Rust.

Maturity

5-8’ x 8’

Troubleshooting:

Aralia can tend to form suckers as they age, meaning it will send up new shoots surrounding the base of the plant. If you want to limit its spread, dig these out. Transplant them in another area of your shady garden, try them out in your house as a houseplant, or gift them to a friend.
