Plant Bio:

Maiden adagio grass features hundreds of showy plumes held above the foliage emerge bronze-pink, fading to white. A dwarf plant with graceful, silvery green arching foliage that becomes a whirl of orange, gold, and burgundy in fall. Spectacular in mass plantings or mixed into perennial borders.

Watering Requirements

Regularly – once or twice weekly for first three months after planting. Once established, it rarely requires water. Aim for 1” per week.

Feeding Requirements

Once a year with a balanced slow-release fertilizer. Apply in spring.

Pruning Time & Tips

Annually in late winter or very early spring. Cut to 6” above the ground for a clean and fresh look each year.

Common Pests & Diseases

Mealybugs, Spider Mites, Aphids, Fungus Gnat Larvae and Anthracnose.

Troubleshooting:

If you notice your plant is particularly slow growing and you see yellowing and twisting of the stems, you may have miscanthus mealybugs. The bug colony looks like a white, powdery, waxy material, and little bug droppings are a telltale sign.
