Plant Bio:

Ruby loropetalums are noted for their attractive foliage and brightly colored flowers. This variety is an evergreen shrub with raspberry red fringed blossoms over burgundy foliage. As the shrub matures the leaves turn olive green. In spring, it produces abundant clusters of hot pink, spidery flowers, each with narrow, twisted petals.

Watering Requirements

Regularly – weekly, or more often in extreme heat or in containers. At least 1” per week.

Feeding Requirements

Once a year with a balanced slow-release fertilizer. Apply in spring.

Pruning Time & Tips

Prune just after it has finished blooming in summer.

Common Pests & Diseases

Root Rot, Spider Mites, Aphids, Scale and Powdery Mildew.
